'Entre Mundos'
“Entre Mundos” (“Between Worlds“) is an illustration inspired by the “Search & Find” style, mainly by Martin Handford’s illustrations for Where’s Wally?
The initial idea for this project was: What would a welcome party for extraterrestrials look like?
So I decided to create a party in the best style of São Paulo’s outskirts — with speakers blasting on the street, hip-hop culture, street vendors, people dancing “charme,” kites on rooftops, a not-so-clean stream, dirt roads, unfinished brick houses, and of course, the spaceship and some beings from another planet joining in and enjoying the party.

PROCESS
Over 500 characters populate this illustration, each involved in their own small stories.
It was a long research and development process to design the characters and build the many mini-scenes that make up this larger composition.
